At Symmetry Chiropractic & Acupuncture, serving Naperville, Illinois, and the surrounding area, our chiropractor utilizes natural techniques like adjustments and spinal decompression to relieve your pain and discomfort and possibly promote healing. We offer a wide range of services related to musculoskeletal pain and discomfort among other issues. The most common conditions we treat include the following:

Low back pain

Neck pain

Headaches and migraines

Herniated disc

Sciatica

Personal injuries/auto accident injuries

Sports injuries

Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain is a common occurrence. Oftentimes, it occurs as the result of an injury from lifting or falling. Repetitive bending and other movements that incorporate the muscles in the lower back can cause pain as well. Many of the patients who come into our office with lower back pain have an injury such as a muscle strain or pinched nerve. Some of our patients have low back pain as a result of fibromyalgia or osteoarthritis, just to name a few examples. We even help pregnant women who suffer from back pain.

Neck Pain

At our Naperville office, we help individuals who have neck pain. Arthritis could be the culprit of your neck pain, especially rheumatoid arthritis. Degeneration happens to the discs in the spinal column and could cause you to have neck pain if it affects the cervical disc. Whiplash stems from the neck being forcefully propelled forward and backward.

Headaches and Migraines

In many cases, headaches are caused by a strain in your neck or upper backs. Tension contributes to headaches as well. Although the cause of migraines is oftentimes unknown, a chiropractor does have the ability to reduce your symptoms by realigning the spine or providing a chiropractic massage, which helps you to relax and improve your sleep. Your diet may play a role in your headaches as well, and that's why our chiropractor will evaluate the problem and possibly take a multifaceted approach to your treatment. Our chiropractor will examine your diet and lifestyle habits and provide advice on how to improve your discomfort.

Herniated Disc

A herniated disc describes a problem that occurs when a disc in the back, a cushion located in between the vertebrae, has a tear in the exterior of it. When you have a herniated disc, sometimes referred to as a slipped or ruptured disc, the contents inside will begin to spill out of the tear into the spinal column. You may experience pain or numbness in your arm or leg if you have a herniated disc.

Sciatica

Sciatica causes pain and numbness in your lower back, possibly down to your toes. Sciatic is a symptom rather than a condition. It arises as a result of pregnancy, an injury or a condition like spinal stenosis. Sciatica either arises due to a damage to the nerve or pressure being placed on the nerve. Chiropractic care has the potential to relieve the pressure on the nerve, which lessens your discomfort.

Personal Injuries/Auto Accident Injuries

Auto injuries and personal injuries like slips and falls cause a number of issues such as back pain, neck pain, and other muscle pain. Auto injuries frequently cause back and neck pain due to the force the accident places on the muscles and bones in this area. Some patients develop a strain or sprain as a result of a personal injury. We identify the problem and utilize treatments that promote an effective recovery such as exercise therapy.

Sports Injuries

Sports injuries can cause pain and discomfort in your muscles and other soft tissue. It's possible to experience a nerve-related issue as well. This type of injury can be caused by an accident or repetitive wear and tear on your body. Not only do we ease our patient's pain, we also promote an effective recovery and advise you on ways to prevent sports-related injuries in the future. We can also help to improve your performance, even if you haven't suffered from a sports-related injury.
